4. Filament, inventory and usage data
When the user registers or updates filament rolls, the system may store information about material, manufacturer, color, batch number, remaining weight, price, location, drying, usage and history.
This information is used to give the user an overview of their own filament inventory and for features such as statistics, inventory status, QR labels, low stock alerts and material recommendations.
5. Material Advisor and AI processing
Material Advisor helps the user choose suitable filament for a project. The feature may use information such as project description, selected requirements, recommended material, alternative materials and relevant inventory data.
Free and Basic may use a rules-based Material Advisor. Pro, Business and Enterprise may get access to AI Material Advisor, where project description and selected requirements may be sent to an external AI provider to generate a material recommendation.
AI Material Advisor may use the OpenAI API as an external data processor. The information sent to AI is limited to what is necessary to create the material recommendation, for example project description and technical requirements such as outdoor use, UV, water, heat, mechanical load, flexibility or food contact.
The user should avoid entering sensitive personal data, confidential information or information about third parties in the project description for Material Advisor.
AI-generated recommendations are advisory and are stored together with the analysis so the user can view history, recommended material, alternatives, warnings and whether the recommendation was AI-based, rules-based or fallback.
6. Payment, Stripe Checkout and Stripe Tax
Payment is handled through Stripe Checkout. FilamentManager does not store full card details or full payment card data.
When you create or change a paid subscription, Stripe may process information such as name, email, billing address, country, postal code, company name, VAT/tax ID, payment method type, currency, subscription plan, invoice, receipt and payment status.
Stripe Tax may use the customer’s billing details, country, customer type and any VAT/tax ID to calculate and display relevant VAT/tax in Checkout and on invoices/receipts.
If you enter a VAT ID or other tax ID, this is processed by Stripe and may be used for invoicing, tax handling and assessment of for example reverse charge where relevant.
Payment information is processed by Stripe in connection with purchases, subscription payments, invoicing, receipts, customer management, payment disputes and legally required documentation.
7. Data processors and external providers
We may use external providers and data processors to operate the service. This may include hosting providers, email providers, payment providers, security and operation services and AI providers for Material Advisor.
Stripe is used as payment provider and for handling subscriptions, payments, invoices, receipts, customer portal and VAT/tax-related information.
External providers may only process information to the extent necessary to provide the service or the specific feature.
8. Storage
We store information for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with law or handle support, security and documentation.
Account, subscription, invoice, payment and tax information may be stored for as long as necessary to document payments, handle the customer relationship and comply with bookkeeping, tax and VAT requirements.
Material Advisor analyses and AI recommendations may be stored as history on the user’s account until the user deletes the analysis, the account is deleted or the information is no longer necessary.
9. Disclosure
We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with necessary data processors, for example hosting providers, email providers, payment providers and AI providers, when necessary to provide the service.
Information may be shared with Stripe in connection with payment, subscription, customer portal, invoice, receipt, VAT/tax ID and VAT/tax calculation.
Information is only disclosed to the extent necessary, or if we are legally required to do so.
10. International transfers
Some of our providers may be established outside the EU/EEA or use sub-processors outside the EU/EEA.
If personal data is transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA, this will only take place where there is a relevant transfer basis, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or other valid safeguards.
11. Your rights
You have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability to the extent provided by applicable law.
You can also delete your own Material Advisor analyses from the history if the feature is available on your account.
Some information cannot be deleted immediately if we are required to keep it for bookkeeping, tax, VAT, payment dispute, security or other legal reasons.
12. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse.
Access to user data is limited, and users can generally only see their own data.
Payment is handled through Stripe Checkout, and FilamentManager does not store full card details.
